CHESTER Racecourse bosses have urged members of the public to take litter home with them after rubbish was left on the The Roodee over the weekend.

The public open space attracted lots of visitors on Saturday and Sunday and the racecourse team confirmed on their Twitter page that extra bins will now be put in place.

The post also stated that members of staff had been out this morning (Monday, June 1) clearing rubbish.

The message added: "If all else fails, please take rubbish home and protect this green open space for all."
