A SCUFFLE broke out between groups of teenagers gathering on the seafront.
Police were called to Brunswick Lawns in Hove on Friday evening at 9.20pm to break up the fight.
A spokesman for the force said: "There were several groups of teens congregating and fighting on the lawns and not practising social distancing.
"No-one made any allegations since police arrived on the scene and no arrests were made."
It comes after several reports of teenagers flouting social distancing guidelines on the seafront in Hove, with groups of up to 80 youngsters meeting up to drink, smoke and play games.
Large gatherings have been observed with individuals not keeping two metres apart, which remains to be the official Government guidance during the coronavirus pandemic.
Similar incidents have been reported at Hove Park and Bhasvic playing field in Hove.
Sussex Police told The Argus earlier this week: "Our role is to prevent, investigate and detect crime and to keep people safe.
"The adjusted Government restrictions won’t see us police or enforce social distancing but we will continue to respond to people gathering in groups and making non-essential journeys, using the same proportionate approach that we have done throughout, explaining and encouraging them to support the important measures that are in place.”
