Eight charges have been made against a man from Erith after he allegedly stole over £1,600 worth of golf equipment, shoplifted brandy and energy drinks and assaulted three shop workers, all on separate occasions.

Dwayne Jones, of Horsa Road, Erith, was arrested on suspicion of a string of offences across Dartford on Wednesday, May 27, and has since been charged to appear in court on July 1.

The 29-year-old is accused of hitting a shop in Dartford, stealing golf equipment worth over £1,600 on March 8, then returning the next day to try and steal more items.

Jones then reportedly entered a petrol station on Princes Road on March 9, assaulting three staff members at the store.

Energy drinks were reported stolen and a fridge was damaged.

Jones then allegedly stole eight bottles of brandy from a supermarket in Priory Market Place on April 22.

The suspect was recently arrested and charged with two counts of assault by beating, common assault, three counts of theft, criminal damage and attempted theft.

He has been released on bail to attend Medway Magistrates’ Court on 1 July.
