STAFF at Warrington Hospital are being treated to a tipple on Thursday night after the final Clap for Carers.
Carl Tickle, a sign writer and narrowboat painter who owns Cheshire Brush, has been raising money with his family for the NHS by auctioning and selling his signs and panels.
He said: "We were going to donate food and treats but it turns out the doctors and nurses have been putting a few pounds on recently like most of us.
"So we have decided that on Thursday evening when they have finished clapping, we are going to deliver plenty of bottled beer and wine outside the hospital."
