Police have arrested a man on suspicion of drink driving after accidentally stopping the wrong car.
Officers had been chasing an Audi A3 through the streets of Bolton in the early hours of this morning when the driver was able to shake the traffic policing team.
The patrol and the police helicopter were searching the area when they spotted the driver of an identical Audi acting suspiciously.
When officers stopped the driver on Prince Street, Halliwell, they realised this wasn't the car they were searching for, but it wasn't about to be sent on its way.
The driver allegedly failed a roadside breathalyser test and was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol.
