An American restaurant chain is to launch a new collection and home delivery service.

Those eager not to miss out on the service can place their orders three days in advance.

When will the new ordering system begin?

What have TGI Fridays said?

Robert B. Cook, CEO at TGI Fridays said: “We can’t wait to re-fire the grills in preparation for the launch of our new click and collect service in 24 selected locations.

“These initial sites have been chosen as we either own and can control the car park or the landlord has given us dedicated access.

“We will also be restoring delivery services at the same locations via Just Eat and Deliveroo, as applicable.

“We will continue to monitor UK Government advice but after an initial trial we aim to extend the rollout as soon as it is safe to do so.”

Social distancing measures will be in place for click and collect service

A statement on the TGI Fridays website reads: "We have extensive social distancing and other control measures in place, to protect our team and guests, if you are visiting a restaurant to use the click and collect service, please respect the social distancing measures we have in place and comply with the instructions outlined on the signage on site.

"We have put social distancing measures in place, including the following:

  • Keeping customers safe removing contact and bringing food to their open car boot.
  • Allowing just one delivery driver into our restaurants at one time.
  • Maintaining a two-metre distance between delivery drivers when outside our restaurants."
