Big-hearted Wayne Dux and his team of helpers has brought donations to two of Trafford children’s homes and an adult care unit.

The businessman dropped off much-welcomed boxes of food and treats at the children’s homes and Ascot House, an intermediate care unit in Sale.

Wayne is running a food bank from Styal Sports Club in Wilmslow and has been supplying charities and needy groups across Greater Manchester since the coronavirus lockdown with donations people and local businesses are dropping off at the club.

Wayne, aged 43, said: “I set up the food and supplies bank to help people suffering during these difficult times.

"It is heart-breaking and I didn’t want to sit back and do nothing as people struggled in our local communities.”

Sue Burrell, Registered Manager at Ascot House said: “Everyone was delighted to receive the treats.

"My staff are working really hard and it is nice that someone is thinking of them and the people that we are caring for.”
