FOUR more Covid-19 deaths have been confirmed in Cornwall.

The latest NHS England figures, released this afternoon, show that there have been 34 deaths in Cornwall.

Of those, 32 were under the care of the Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust and two were at the Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

The figures only show the number of people who have tested positive for coronavirus and later died in hospital and are correct up to 5pm yesterday.

There are now 246 confirmed cases in Cornwall.

In England as a whole, this afternoon's figures showed that a further 765 people with Covid-19 have died, bringing the total number of deaths to 7,248.

Patients were aged between 24 and 103 years old; 43 of the 765 patients (aged between 33 and 99 years old) had no known underlying health condition.  

Their families have been informed.
