A LARGE shed fire broke out at a Bradford allotment with more than 40 patches this morning.

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service (WYFRS) was called to the blaze at the Harewood Street Allotment, in Barkerend, at around 9.24am.

One crew initially rushed to the scene and found a shed was alight.

The crew then asked for an additional pump to be sent to deal with the blaze.

Two breathing apparatus and two hose reels were used.

There are 47 patches at the allotment, in total.
