You can find out when by going to Facebook and searching for her Colette Todd Singer page and liking her page.

She joined her first choir when she was seven and later sang with the Bristol Cathedral Girls Choir.

She said: “It was a privilege to sing with them, especially when the first women priests were ordained in 1993,”

She has a music degree from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.

The 42-year-old from Sale, said: “My classical repertoire contains pieces by Bach, Handel, Mozart and Britten.”

She occasionally sings with the Altrincham based Stamford Orchestra and is a member of the Manchester Chamber Choir. Their latest performance was a live Radio 3 broadcast of Beethoven’s Opferlied last month.

Colette said: “My most memorable concert was in 1999 when I joined Riverdance as a singer, my first professional contract.

“It was mind-boggling to go from my small music college theatre to singing around Europe to 8.000 people.” She was involved for two years.

She has since sung with Lord of the Dance, Beyond Broadway, the Snow Queen, Celtic Illusion and Rhythms of Ireland

In September 2011, her husband’s job took the family to Sydney. Her son was just six months old but she worked as a singing teacher and freelance performer.

Since returning in 2014 she has continued to teach singing.

She said: “I love it. It’s rewarding when children stop seeing it as a chore and want to learn.”

Her family are used to the sound of her voice.

“My husband Chris rolls his eyes but I think he enjoys it so long as it isn’t too often.

"Henry, my nine-year- old is mostly embarrassed but, occasionally, proud.Mary is only two so thinks it’s normal.”
