DUAL purpose businesses should only open the section of their shop that sells "essential" goods, the Health Secretary has clarified.
The Government's lockdown announcement on Monday evening outlined that non-essential shops - such as those pictured above at the Bradford Forster Square Retail Park - should close.
Health Secretary, Matt Hancock, discussed a number of issues with fellow MPs in the House of Commons yesterday.
He was faced with the question as to whether firms and family businesses that serve two purposes - such as a garden centre with a farm shop - should remain open.
Mr Hancock, using the example, said the essential part of the business should keep its doors open (the farm shop), while the non-essential section should be closed (the garden centre).
