FIVE more cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Trafford in the last 24 hours.
The increase brings the total number of people infected by the Covid-19 illness in the borough to 12, according to new data released by Public Health England.
Across the UK 407 more cases have been confirmed with total infection rate now standing at 1,950.
The number of deaths as a result of the virus is now 60.
Today the Government announced drastic measures in response to the pandemic which include giving the police powers to detain people and put them in appropriate isolation facilities.
People are also recommended to practice social distancing with theatres and venues are closing across the region and events cancelled as the Government's measures takes effect.
