VAL and I were very pleased to have been invited along to a new dog grooming salon in Urmston.

K9-Style Ltd - The Salon opened its doors to the public on Monday but we went along on Sunday for its official launch opening event.

Jon Harvey and partner Jade Elm Cooper are both top class, professional dog groomers and after many years of building up a successful business as mobile dog groomers they decided to put down roots and open this stylish new salon at 57 Brook Road in Urmston.

The salon has a beautifully designed layout with a stunning waiting area that is adorned with their many certificates, rosettes and trophies that they have achieved over the years including at Crufts.

You can also see that a lot of thought and hard work has gone in to making the salon look and feel as top class and professional as the two multi award winning pet stylists are themselves.

I was very proud of my Val who designed and printed the opening ribbon for them, as seen in this week’s photograph.

I’ve known Jon for a long time and he always did a fantastic job of grooming our two dogs Bailey and Laila, that we sadly lost last summer. We wouldn’t have gone anywhere else to have our little pooches groomed and when we get ourselves a new pup we will definitely be taking it to Jon and Jade to groom.

They both love dogs and love what they do so much that they have a saying that “we are the people of beautiful dogs”.

Providing classic and contemporary pet styling for pets and show dogs alike I’m sure that this new venture for the couple will be a total success and Val and I thank them for inviting us along and wish them both all the very best of luck with the new salon.

I’d like to say a huge thank you to Messenger reader, Nicci, for her lovely letter about my last performance at Mulino in Urmston that she very kindly sent in to the Messenger’s letters page last week.

I’m really pleased that both her and her husband enjoyed my singing and I thank her for all her lovely words. Also to all those who commented about my performance on the Messenger Online, thank you! I always read your comments and emails and really appreciate you taking the time to comment. I look forward to singing again at Mulino on March 12 from 8pm and hope to see some more Wayne’s World readers there. Don’t forget to come over and say hello to me and Val. People often ask me questions about my life and career such as ‘which is my favourite song to sing?’ or ‘who is the nicest celebrity I have interviewed?’ etc. As no one knows me better than my Val I am thinking of asking her to interview me for one of my columns one week in the hope that it will answer some of these questions. If you have any questions you’d like her to ask me then please email them to devlinbookings@aol.com.

I’ll see you all on my website www.allabouttrafford.co.uk on Monday at 6pm for my weekly video ‘A Word from Wayne’.
