BOSSES at an Urmston prosecco bar and all-day restaurant is celebrating their first birthday, later this week.

Mulino, on the corner of Primrose Avenue, is helping to put the town firmly on the map as the place not only to dine and drink but also be seen.

The owner Zola Martini has put his heart and soul into making Mulino the number one spot, for locals and visitors alike, to the ever progressing town of Urmston.

Mulino opened its doors with a dazzling launch party in the presence of the Mayor of Trafford (2018-2019) Cllr Tom Ross on March 8. The star studded guest list included Cold Feet star John Thompson, Coronation Street's Jimmi Harkishin, heavyweight boxing champion Hughie Fury with his father and trainer Peter Fury alongside female boxing sensation Savannah Marshall.

Rat pack vocalist Wayne Devlin who has a residency at the restaurant on the second Thursday of each month.

Since then Mulino has gone from strength to strength with many of the famous faces returning on a regular basis to not only enjoy the beautiful food on offer but also the top class service and of course to see the wonderful maestro of Mulino, Zola Martini!

Zola is quite a character and is very much a people person. Visitors to Mulino are not just customers to Zola they are his friends and everyone is made welcome and really well looked after. It is these warm and friendly personal touches that keep drawing customers back again and again.

Zola said. "We aim to provide great quality, authentic Italian food at sensible prices and to provide informal but excellent service to our customers. We are very proud to offer everything from Neapolitan pizza, pasta dishes to cicchetti and aperitivo. At Mulino there really is something for everyone".

It looks like the media has also fallen in love with Mulino, as the restaurant has been featured on BBC Radio Manchester as well as on national TV with BBC One programme, Food: Truth or Scare.

Mulino regular Jimmi Harkishin, who has portrayed Dev Alahan on Coronation Street for over twenty years stated "It's lovely food at Mulino and a really great atmosphere".

Former Mayor of Trafford Cllr Ross said: "It was lovely to be invited as then Mayor to the opening of Mulino last year. I was really impressed with the food and warm welcome that evening and have been back a number of times since. The level of service is always as great as the food- one of my favourite places to go to eat in Trafford."

As Urmston continues its progression with a new food hall in the planning, a scattering of new bars and restaurants popping up across the town and with more and more visitors to the area it seems that Mulino, celebrating its first birthday this week, is leading the way in making Urmston the place to be.
