A huge machete and a large quantity of heroin have been seized from a house in East Lancashire.
On Wednesday, following tip-offs from the local community, the substantial stash of drugs, along with the weapon were seized by police from a property in Nelson.
Officers had been informed that drugs were being dealt from an address on Canal Mews in the town, and after obtaining a drugs warrant, carried out a search of the premise.
A spokesperson for the police said: "Today the taskforce have conducted a drugs warrant at Canal Mews in Nelson following information from the community that drugs were being supplied from an address.
"A large quantity of suspected heroin was located along with other items connected with the supply of drugs.
"As seen in the photo, a large machete was also recovered from the address, which shows the potential threats that drug dealing imposes on the community.
"We will continue to target people who are involved in this type of crime in order to keep our streets safe."
