A TRAIN has derailed at a depot causing disruption for commuters this morning.
Northern services may be cancelled, delayed or revised, passengers are being warned.
It is expected that the disruption may last until around 3pm.
Trains to operating out of Wigan North Western station to Manchester Victoria, Liverpool Lime Street, Stalybridge and Leeds are affected.
The incident is also affecting services between Barrow-in-Furness and Manchester Airport and between Blackpool North and Liverpool Lime Street.
The issues follow a derailment at the Wigan Springs Branch depot at around 6.30am on January 6 which is blocking trains from going in or out.
Commuters affected by the disruption may be entitled to compensation.
