A PUB restaurant has shut its doors for 10 days while it undergoes refurbishment.
The Southfields Pub in Great Lever is closed from today, due to reopen on January 16.
An update on the venue’s Facebook page reads: “We’ll be closing our doors from Sunday, January 5 (last orders 6pm, food 4pm) for 10 days for a special transformation.
“Don’t worry, we’ll be back open on Thursday, January 16 and can’t wait to welcome you to your new Southfields.”
A message on the venue’s website reads: “Sorry for any inconvenience.”
The handsome building in Green Lane used to be Walkers Institute and is a popular local landmark.
It was formerly a Brewers Fayre pub but today the food outlet is a Sizzling Pubs brand, owned by Mitchells & Butlers.
