Trafford Leisure has secured a £6,000 investment from British Gymnastics to invest in its gymnastics programme at Sale Leisure Centre.

The money will support the purchase of new gymnastics equipment and the upskilling of coaches and teaching staff.

Gymnastics Trafford is already one of the largest leisure centre schemes in the UK and Sale Leisure Centre is now extending its programme and has moved lessons into the main sports hall, providing space for more children to enjoy the sessions.

Sale Leisure Centre will now be running 15 classes a week and has introduced two new pre-school classes to its programme.

Shane Robinson, the gymnastics and trampolining brand manager for Trafford Leisure said: “Gymnastics is a fun activity for children of any age.

"As soon as a child is walking, gymnastics is available to them. It’s a fantastic sport that promotes fitness and wellbeing and encourages balance and flexibility.

"We are so excited to be able to offer more gymnastics classes in a much more spacious environment that both children and their parents will enjoy. The additional upskilling of our coaching staff will ensure all children, whatever their age or ability, are engaged and inspired.

The new class programme at Sale Leisure Centre will begin the week commencing January 5 and these classes are available to book now.

Jo Cherrett, CEO, Trafford Leisure says: “We are immensely proud of Trafford Gymnastics.”
