A WOMAN has been given a suspended prison sentence after she admitted stalking another woman and attempting to phone her in breach of a restraining order.
Manchester magistrates heard how Charlene Avison, aged 31, of Claughton Avenue, Bolton, harassed her victim by keeping watch on her leaving her home and phoning her land line between November 6 and December 20.
Avison was sentenced to 20 weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay a £122 victim surcharge.
A restraining order was also made banning her from contacting two people and preventing her from going within 200 metres of Moss Bank Close, Bolton.
