A COMPANY specialising in care for older people in their homes has been honoured with a 5 Star Employer Award.

Home Instead Senior Care, which operates services in Bolton, was awarded the top accolade by Workbuzz, which conducted surveys with their caregivers and staff.

Home Instead's caregivers undergo award-winning training programmes, which were credited by City and Guilds, a skill development organisation and the Princess Royal Training Awards.

Steven Frost, the CEO of WorkBuzz, said that the biggest challenge faced by many organisations is recruiting and retaining the best talent.

He added: "We would like to congratulate Home Instead Senior Care for its high levels of employee engagement. Its positive culture means that most employees are proud to work there and would choose to stay even if they were offered a similar job elsewhere."

In addition, Mr Frost said that the staff who received the award were "highly motivated."

Steve Williams, the co-owner of Home Instead Senior Care, said that he and the service were "incredibly proud" to have been awarded the 5 Star Employed Award.

He added: "“It means so much because it was awarded as a result of feedback from our employees. Person centred home care is our business and this acknowledgement proves that it works, not only for our clients, but for our caregivers and the team in the office too.”

“We are also very proud to be a real living wage employer. We want to attract and retain the best and most motivated people, and becoming a 5 Star employer is reassurance that we are getting things right.”

Home Instead Bolton, based in Chorley New Road, is part of a global network of over 900 offices which provides home care in communities.

The service is currently looking for new people to join their team and is encouraging Bolton residents to look out for jobs.
