WE could be in for a snowy night with temperatures set to drop to 1°C.

Forecasters say snow is a possibility, especially in hilly areas, as some parts of Greater Manchester experienced flurries today.

According to the Met Office today's rainy weather is likely to continue into the night and could turn to flakes or sleet depending on temperatures.

There will also be a strong northwesterly breeze which could bring more of a chill.

Forecasters say highs of will only reach around 6°C while lows are expected to be between 1-3°C.

Tomorrow the rain will continue, with a 90 percent chance of precipitation through most of the morning and a high chance of continued showers for the rest of the day.

There will be brisk northwesterly winds and the chance of a little hill snow at times.

But, there will also be some drier and brighter spells too, with maximum temperatures of 7 °C.
