In what may be every kid’s dream, Aldi is on the hunt for a panel of children to become the retailer’s official Toy Testers this Christmas.

Ten lucky kids will be chosen as testers, guaranteeing them a year’s supply of toys for them to review which they then get to keep.

The toys to be reviewed include a selection of products available on Aldi's Online Toy Store, such as ride-on cars, science kits and a box of magic tricks.

The description for the dream role, posted this morning, states the applicants must have a love of play, know the latest toy trends and be comfortable presenting their views on camera.

For a chance to become part of the panel, parents of budding testers can apply by uploading a 30-second video review of their little one’s favourite toy. Aldi’s Toy Team will judge all entries and the ten winners’ videos will be uploaded to Aldi’s website, as well as on Mumsnet.

Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi UK, said: “At Aldi we’re always looking for new ways to ensure our toys stay ahead of the game. With over 349 toys available at our online Toy Shop it’s easy to imagine just how much testing goes on behind the scenes.

"This is a great opportunity for children to continue doing what they do best – playing with toys! We hope parents and children have fun with their applications and look forward to receiving the entries.”
