A TAXI firm is helping their drivers with customer service and checks thanks to a new qualification.

Scotts Cars drivers have already completed a Functional Skills English and Maths and Customer Service Level 2.

They have now completed a Level 2 Certificate in Passenger Carry and Deliver.

A spokesman said: "We would like to do our very best for both our customers and our drivers.

"We would like all of our passengers to feel safe whilst travelling in one of our vehicles and hope that this course will help.

"This courses teaches the drivers Health & Safety in the workplace and on the road including procedures to be taken in an emergency and who may be contacted.

"It also covers customer service skills including how to deliver and further promote Scotts Cars in a professional manner.

"They will know how to maintain an effective working relationship with customers, corporate clients and colleagues.

"They will learn about Equality and Diversity and treating everyone the same."

Drivers will be able to prepare the vehicle for the job and pre-shift checks including daily walk around and defects.

They also will be aware of reporting and rectifying faults.

The course has 2 observations where a neutral assessor will check the skills of the drivers.

Firm bosses attended the presentation of certificates with Kate Green and Mike Kane the Labour MP for Altrincham and Sale West.
