THE new offices of Warrington Borough Council will be based over five floors have desk space for 800 workers.

Staff are due to start moving into the office, based in the new Time Square development, from February.

A new update due to be shown to councillors at a meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, shows the work going on inside the building and some artist's impressions of what the final building will look like.

As well as public areas, there will be meeting rooms, breakout areas and a conference suite.

Workers will have kitchen break out spaces on every floor while showers, changing room facilities, lockers and drying rooms have been included in the design.

Office space will be open plan with 800 workstations and a 7:10 ratio of desks to employees.

The report says most services are likely to be allocated zones to ensure individuals are located near to colleagues and the materials needed.

Staff from New Town House and Quattro, Rylands Street, Contact Warrington and the Registrar office on Museum Street will be moving in.

Public opening hours will be 8.45am to 5pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday for the registrar services.

The item will be discussed at a council meeting on Tuesday.
