A 'SERIOUS' crash which closed the busy A34 slip roads at the Botley Interchange this evening has been cleared.
Oxfordshire County Council confirmed at 6.57pm 'heavy residual delays' remained but that it was hoped these would now ease.
Both the exit slip and entry slip roads were shut for almost two hours to ensure emergency services could make the scene safe.

Highways England said there had been a 'serious road traffic accident' at the A34 southbound at Botley.
Police and paramedics were reportedly on the scene and there were major delays stretching for 10 miles, all the way to the Wendlebury Interchange at Bicester in one direction and Hinksey Interchange at the other.
Queues are still stretching back for nine miles with an hour-long delay.

Highways England warned of long delays of one hour, as did Oxfordshire County Council.

A reader has told the Mail that traffic was at a standstill for around 7.5 miles from the scene of the crash, as of about 5.30pm.
