SPECIAL Santa's Stories events will be taking place on the run up to Christmas.

Set to be held at Duke Street Food and Drink Market, children will be able to enjoy a Saturday morning story on 7 and 21 December where they will also receive a Christmas gift for £10 per child.

The alternative to the typical grotto experience, youngsters can join Father Christmas as he recounts stories such as The Snowman and The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Each child will then be able to sit with Santa and tell him all of their Christmas dreams and wishes.

Families can tuck into one of many breakfast options at the Market from the likes of Bone and Block, Finca, Indigo Greens and Cinder.

Once they've visited Santa, families can even soak up the festive atmosphere with lunch from the traders.

Duke Street Market’s general manager Lee Bannon-Smith said: “Christmas is such a special time of year and we wanted to do something a little bit different at the market.

"Children can come and gather around to experience Santa’s special stories.

“They’ll also receive a Christmas gift so it’s a really nice way to start your Saturday.

"We have a fantastic breakfast menu so guests can come by before, or stick around after, and we’re a stone’s throw from the city centre if you want to do your Christmas shopping.”

The Santa's Stories events will take place from 11am to 12pm on Saturday 7 and Saturday 21, December.
