FOUR men have been arrested on suspicion of robbery after shoppers were targeted with a knife in and around the Trafford Centre.
Police say that one man handed over his wallet and shopping bags "in fear" after being approached in the Orient section of the centre. One of the gang indicated he had a knife.
Another man was told to hand over his watch at the bus station and threatened with violence.
Posting on Facebook, GMP Trafford North said: "They asked him about the watch he was wearing, then suddenly demanded the watch or he would be stabbed. Thankfully, Trafford Centre CCTV were on the ball and recorded the group whilst calling us. The group were filmed trying to hide the shopping bags they had stolen as then ran towards ASDA across the road. Officers were updated and promptly arrived."
