AN 80-YEAR-OLD fell walker suffered head injuries after a fall in Borrowdale.
The woman, who was walking with friends along the Allerdale Ramble below Castle Crag on Thursday afternoon, slipped and fell.
Five team members from Keswick Mountain Rescue were initially called to help just after 2pm.
A spokesman from the team said: "The lady had a bump on her head and was unsteady but was tough enough to walk assisted to the Land Rover.
"One of the team members took her to the Cottage Hospital in Keswick for a check over."
A total of 11 members where involved in the callout, which took about an hour and a half.
