Traffic lights at Atlas Street and Parr Street were out due to a power cut, St Helens Council confirmed.

Scottish Power engineers arrived on the scene and it was discovered that there was a fault at a sub station in the area.
Power was restored at around 1.30pm after residents and businesses were cut off for a short period of time.
The energy supplier, which received around 20 calls about the incident, apologised for any inconvenience caused.
