THE following cases have been dealt with at Tameside Magistrates' Court.

JOSEPH Patrick Dervan, aged 31, of Wimpenny House, Ashton Road, Oldham stole a sat nav at Oldham on July 15 and on July 22 he stole a mobile phone as well as going equipped for theft with a spanner and screwdriver. On that day he also used threatening behaviour towards another man. He was jailed for a month because the offence was committed during the operational period of a suspended sentence. He must also pay compensation of £50. His original offences were interfering with a car at Oldham on June 13 and the theft of £260 cash and a wallet.

JAKE Hussain, aged 24, of South Hill Street, Oldham, was found guilty in his absence of drink driving, driving with no insurance, no licence in Thornley Hill Close and failing to surrender to custody after being released on bail on May 29. A warrant was issued for his address.

MICHAEL Derek Hession, aged 25, of Lime Green Road, Oldham, failed to comply with the requirements of a community order made by Tameside Magistrates’ Court on March 1 by failing to comply with the conditions of the curfew order be failing to be at his property for five hours on July 18. He was fined £30 and ordered to pay £30 costs.

MARIE Elainor Trowbridge, aged 41, of Medway, Hollinwood, failed to comply with a community requirement of a suspended sentence order made by Tameside Magistrates’ Court on October 19, 2018 by failing to attend appointments on June 19 and July 16. The suspended sentence order was varied to a term of six months suspended for 12 months. She was also ordered to pay £30 costs.

MARY Ann Wright, aged 37, of Lilac Grove, Chadderton, failed to comply with the requirements of a community order made by Tameside Magistrates’ Court on November 19, 2018 by failing to attend appointments on May 1 and June 18. A warrant was issued for her arrest.

MARTIN McDonagh, aged 27, of Derwent Walk, Oldham, stole gates and manhole covers worth £750 belonging to Oldham Council on or about August 26. He was ordered to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work and to pay £85 costs and £90 to victim services.

SHOHAR Hassan, aged 34, of Purdy House, Eldon Street Estate, failed to stop after an accident and failed to stop when so directed by a police constable on February 22. He was fined £80 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 to victim services.

SELIMA Begum, aged 41, of Maple Grove, Allestree, Derby, has been fined £490 and ordered to pay £670 costs for managing a house at 3 Davies Street, Oldham, on March 14 with no licence. She was also ordered to pay £49 to victim services.

AARON Edwards, aged 26, of Laburnum Avenue, Shaw, dumped seven bags of domestic waste near his home on or about April 8. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

ATHANIEL Lucas, aged 23, of HIGHER HOUSE CLOSE, Chadderton, failed to comply with supervision requirements imposed following release from prison by failing to report for appointments on April 17, May 9 and 17. He was jailed for seven days.

NOMAN Arshad, aged 28, of Chapel Road, Oldham, behaved in a manner whereby a breach of the peace was committed at Oldham on September 6. He was bound over in the sum of £100 for six months to keep the peace.

WAHEED Anjum Chohan, aged 44, OF Florida Street, Coppice, was found guilty of assaulting a man by beating him on December 29, 2018. He was ordered to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months and to pay £450 costs and £150 compensation.

SHARIFA Bibi, aged 42, of Denmark 42, carried a child under the age of 14 in the rear seat of a car without a seatbelt, and with no insurance on October 22, 2018. She was fined £180 and ordered to pay £150 costs and £30 to victim services.
