A PUB is about to relaunch with the creation of 16 new jobs, a complete refurb, a new menu and even something for furry friends.

This weekend, after a £380,000 upgrade by Heineken owned Star Pubs and Bars, The Gardeners’ Arms at 41 Deansgage Lane, Timperley, Altrincham will open its doors to customers once again.

Owners say the pub is now a modern family environment for the whole neighbourhood and has officially introduced food onto the menu, the only pub in the area to do so, and creating 16 new jobs in the process.

The exterior has been completely overhauled into a "stylish new dark grey design" with a new garden at the back with pergola and festoon lighting as well as seating for up to 80 people for al fresco dining and a play area for children.

Inside has a zoned area for dining, wine art on the ceilings, hanging pendant bulb lighting and enough space to house 120 people at a time and several screens for people to watch sport wherever they want.

Pub classics will the order of each day on the menu, including homemade burgers, chunky chips, and slow cooked lamb, all supplied locally from the butcher and Sunday lunches.

There will also be a dog menu including a special Sunday roast.

Drinks include premium draught lagers and ciders, 40 gins, wines and cocktails and weekly entertainment with Live Sky & BT Sports, a weekly pub quiz, acoustic music on a Friday and live bands on a Saturday.
