Seven people have been arrested for a series of offences including burglary across Trafford in aweek of action
Officers from the Trafford district, together with Cheshire Police Road Crime Unit, worked in partnership and used a combination of tactics to crackdown on acquisitive crime across the area, say police.
Between Monday 19 August and Sunday 25 August, officers also used units from across GMP including drones, dogs, Tactical Vehicle Intercept Unit and Roads Policing Unit as they looked to reassure communities, offer crime prevention advice and reduce crimes across the area by targeting known individuals.
Chief Inspector Chris Sutcliffe of GMP’s Trafford Division said: “This was a high intensity operation which I am pleased to say resulted in excellent results including the recovery of six vehicles with a street value of £70,000 - £80,000 and the execution of a series of warrants as we look to crackdown on burglaries across the area.
"I would however like to reiterate the importance of reporting crimes to us so we can build a wider picture of crime across the area and further afield.”
