Davyhulme Park Golf Club’s Lady Captain’s Day has raised over £1,140 for a charity very close to both Lady Captain’s and Mr Captain’s heart as both have family or friends who have suffered from the disease.
Lady Captain, Heather Massey held a two-day golf competition for the Alzheimers Association which was followed by a gala dinner at the club.
Over 60 ladies played in the competition which was won by DPGC member Lyn Niland who has been a member of the club for over 30 years.
The dinner was attended by over 90 ladies who all contributed to raising £1,140.
Throughout the year Lady & Mr Captain (Paul Barton) hold events to raise money for the charity.
The next event, to be held in October, is a Charity Golf Day and Race Night which is sponsored by local estate agents Trading Places.
Steven Cox, Managing Director of Trading Places said he is delighted to be sponsoring “such a worthy cause” in conjunction with Davyhulme Park Golf Club.
