WITH 19 GCSEs between them, Hulme Hall Grammar School’s headboy and headgirl are celebrating after a successful results day.

Joe Hayes from Didsbury achieved 10 GCSEs.

Said Joe: “I am so pleased that the extra work that I put in has now paid off. I hope that it shows other people that if you work hard for something then you can achieve it.”

Joe was also successful in completing the AQA Further Mathematics paper which will set him up for the next phase of his education at Xaverian College where he will be studying A-levels in mathematics, physics and chemistry.

Yashni Vithlani is leaving with 9 GCSEs including a grade 9 in French.

She said: “I started here as a shy 2 year old in 2005 and since then, Hulme Hall has given me the confidence to believe in myself and has shown me that with hard work and encouragement, you can achieve everything you want.”

In the Autumn, Yashni will be going to college to study A-levels in Biology, environmental science and graphic design with the hope of making a difference in the future by becoming a wildlife conservationist.

Hulme Hall has once again achieved some excellent exam results and is well above the national average in both English and Mathematics.

Headmaster, Mr Dean Grierson, believes that this is down to the partnership between pupils and staff who work hard to ensure that they every child secures the success that they deserve.
