Trafford College’s Full Time GCSE Programme is now entering its fifth year with 25% more students expected to enrol this academic year.
During the one-year course students are fast-tracked through GCSE biology, chemistry, physics, maths, English language, business studies, psychology, citizenship and religious studies.
Student, 18-year-old Frihah Farooq from Levenshulme, was home-schooled before joining the college. She gained the highest grade of 9 in biology, chemistry, psychology, chemistry and sociology followed by 8s in physics and citizenship.
She will now study her A-levels at the college.
She said: “If it wasn’t for Trafford College, I wouldn’t have been able to take my GCSEs at over 18 years of age.
"I’ve travelled different counties and lived in Pakistan, so for a large part of my life, I’ve been home schooled, but when I came here the teachers were very helpful.
“The college has really developed my communication skills. If you want experience of a classroom then Trafford College is the place for you.”
