THE Mayor of Trafford, Councillor Robert Chilton, opened the head office of Kingsley Home Care Services and hailed the new firm’s exciting potential for creating jobs with flexible hours.

Joining him for the ceremony at premises in Wood Lane, Partington, were local parish councillor Karen Kanes and members and officials of the Royal British Legion (RBL).

To mark the launch of its operation in Cheshire, Kingsley Home Care Services presented two benches and a donation to the Partington branch of RBL.

The benches will be placed in the Memorial Garden in Central Road, Partington.

Company director Lisa Brown said: “We are delighted to mark our official launch with a donation to this very worthy cause.

“As a company, we are here to support local communities across Cheshire and have pledged to place ourselves at the very heart of them.”

Fellow director Ian Smallwood welcomed the Mayor and his consort Julia Samari and told them Kingsley Home Care Services had been developed as part of Kingsley Healthcare Group, a UK top 20 healthcare provider with care homes across the UK.

“This service has been developed to extend our care, skills and support to people within the setting of their own homes,” he said.

”It will be built on a foundation of compassion and trust to care for and support the most vulnerable people in our society.”

Mr Smallwood said they would be looking to engage with local schools and offer work experience to young people embarking on a career in social care.

They would also be working closely with Trafford Council to offer employment support and opportunities to local people.

The RBL’s Trafford branch secretary, Sharon Weatherilt, described the new benches as “stunning” and said she was delighted to receive the support of Kingsley Home Care Services.

“The Royal British Legion branches are here to support local communities, from hosting events and fun days to holding branch meetings and assisting with the Poppy Appeal each year,” she said.

“Each branch relies on donations from organisations such as yourselves to help continue the good work.”

She added that RBL branches played a vital role in helping hard-to-reach individuals and tackling problems such as loneliness and isolation.

Newly-appointed branch manager Tracy Adamson has already started recruiting carers and had a chance to meet prospective clients at the service’s stand at the Royal Cheshire Show on June 18 and 19.

She said: “I am delighted to have joined the team at Kingsley Home Care Services right at the start of an exciting journey.

“Kingsley is already a trusted name in the care home market and we are bringing all that expertise to bear in our new venture.”

The new business, headed by Kingsley co-founder Sumi Thayan as CEO, will be steadily rolled out nationally with further branches in counties as far afield as Suffolk, Norfolk, Dorset and Buckinghamshire.
