SECURITY staff at a hospital helped police track down a vehicle thought to have been involved in a burglary.

Guards from the Royal Bolton Hospital, in Farnworth, worked with a Police Community Support Officer to help find the car, a dark-coloured four-by-four, on Friday morning.

It was discovered in the hospital's car park and later seized by officers over suspicions it was involved in a burglary in Highfield on Thursday night.

One of the car's front tyres had burst and police said a person was seen trying to change it before they arrived.
