THERE are long delays on the M60 this evening around Worsley after a crash involving three vehicles.

Police and fire services rushed to the scene of the collision close to junction 13 clockwise at around 5pm.

It is thought to have involved two lorries and a car.

Lanes two, three and four of the four-lane motorway are currently closed.

A spokesman for the North West Motorway Police said there was a "considerable amount of debris" in the road following the crash.

Paramedics are treating people at the scene.

A spokesman for Highways England said: Please be aware if travelling in Greater Manchester this evening there are long delays due to this M60 J13 Worsley collision.

"There is approx 6 miles of congestion which is expected to add around 45 minutes onto usual travel times. Congestion on M62 approach."

Congestion is currently reaching back to Junction 8 for Carrington.
