TRAFFORD Leisure hosted its first Ladies Evening at Altrincham Golf Club last week, offering local women the chance to try a new activity for free.

The event, attended by 60 women, included a social evening at the driving range and a bespoke, outside yoga class in the South Trafford Archaeological Group’s walled garden, based within the grounds of the golf course.

The team decorated the venue with a flower wall and guests were treated to Prosecco and cupcakes.

The ladies practised their golfing skills at the driving range, which now boasts 10 Toptracer bays with advanced technology to track and analyse shots, helping to improve technique.

The yoga class was taught by Altrincham Leisure’s yoga specialist, Natalie Galobart.

She said: “The weather smiled on us. It was such a special night. I was excited that so many women that hadn’t tried yoga before came along.”

Jo Cherrett, COO of Trafford Leisure says: “Exercise with friends is always more fun, and I’m really proud that our guests were up for a challenge.

"Physical activity comes in many guises, and yoga and golf in the sun was the perfect evening. Both activities are extremely accessible."
