People hoping for an end to the wet and miserable weather look set to be disappointed.
According to forecasters, we're in for another drab week with rain and cloudy skies.
Today will see some outbreaks of rain which will ease in the afternoon, with highs of 18C.
Tomorrow is expected to be largely dry and bright across the North West but there could be outbreaks of rain in the evening.
The latter part of the week could see brighter and fresher conditions on Wednesday, but there will be a mixture of sunny spells and scattered showers on Thursday and highs of 15C.
By Friday, showers are likely and some of them could be heavy and thundery.
But it's better news for the weekend, will early indications that "a ridge of high pressure should bring a good deal of fine and at times sunny weather" on Saturday, according to the Met Office.
