CHESHIRE Fest proved to be the biggest and best yet, say organisers.

Thousands of festivalgoers flocked to Manchester Rugby Club to enjoy the family fun festival.

In what is described as its biggest event to date, the two-day Cheshire Fest 2019 included a programme of live music over three stages, food and drink stalls as well as family activities, from live entertainment to fairground rides.

Set in Cheadle Hulme, the first day say a medley of popular music tributes, including headliners, King Ov Leon, Kings of Leon, plus The Fillers, The Killers, Totally Tina, Tina Turner, and more.

On Sunday family favourite tribute acts included The Stones, The Rolling Stones, Little Fix, Little Mix, and critically acclaimed Queen tribute Flash closed the weekend in sensational style.

The music continued on the Acoustic Stage as festivalgoers kicked back in deck chairs and hay bales and soaked up the atmosphere along with the intermittent periods of sunshine.

Kids enjoyed the huge selection of entertainment on offer including the array of thrill rides and attractions at the funfair, plus the programme of live acts on The Kid’s Stage which included singers from The Voice Kids, a variety of Disney characters, and superheroes.

Organisers say they have been overwhelmed by the positive feedback from visitors praising the incredible family-orientated atmosphere, the huge variety of entertainment, and stellar food and drink offerings at the event.

Festival organisers Philip Osborne and Ben Harris said: "Wow – what an incredible weekend. We can’t quite believe that it is over for another year. We are absolutely delighted with Cheshire Fest 2019, the atmosphere across both days was amazing from start to finish.

"A huge thank you to the whole team and everyone involved who have all worked tirelessly over the last 12 months to help us deliver the event. And for everyone who came along and enjoyed the weekend with us we hope you had as much fun as we did."
