TWO men have been arrested after five vehicles were stolen from a car dealership in Altrincham.

Police were called to reports of a burglary at the Evans Halshaw garage in Manchester Road, at around 7.45am on Monday.

On the previous day, a man had forced entry to the dealership before stealing a number of car keys, officers say.

A gang of around 10 offenders then returned the garage at 2am on Monday and stole five cars, using one of the vehicles to ram through a perimeter wall.

Two of the stolen cars have been recovered.

However police are still searching for a silver Ford Focus with the registration GF62 WEP, a silver Ford Fiesta with the registration MH68 EOU, and a white Ford Fiesta with the registration MJ19 OEX.

The two men were arrested in the Preston area and have been released under investigation.
