LAST week I performed at a private booking for a cancer charity in the beautiful setting of Hotel Football in Old Trafford.

It was a lovely evening and I was pleased to see and have a catch up with Tom and Julie Malone and their son Shaun, from Gogglebox. You may remember I interviewed Tom and Julie for this column last year.

I had a lovely evening and it was nice to perform my Rat Pack standards to a really appreciative audience.

I felt very privileged to be able to use my voice to entertain and help people enjoy their night out and humbled at the bravery and strength of the cancer survivors in the audience. It was a real honour.

On Bank Holiday Monday I was invited along to BBC Radio Manchester on the Connor Phillips breakfast show.

It was lovely to chat with Connor, who informed me that he comes from the same part of Ireland as my father did.

He also read out an email that he received about me, which was a lovely surprise. Thank you to the lady who sent it in and for the nice words.

We had a good chat about the Urmston Festival, 'Party on the Pitch'.

The festival is headlined by the Osmonds in what will be one of the last performances of Jay Osmond before he retires. You can read all the details of this event on the website www.urmstonfestival.com

Talking of websites, I'd like to say a huge thank you to the community and hope you will all continue to support my new website “All About Trafford”.

This site is aimed at bringing the community together through sharing events, activities, clubs and groups in one online space.

"All about Trafford" has been set up to allow anyone to list their activities locally for free, creating a central hub to promote their events to everyone in the borough of Trafford.

Through "All About Trafford", the local community can more easily find out what is going on in the area, at any time.

There is also a page on the website for Trafford based Clubs and Groups. You can email me at devlinbookings@aol.com with your events, clubs and groups or any special occasions such as anniversaries, birthdays etc. that you would like announcing on my video every Monday at 6pm, which stays on the web site for a week. You can even just say hello if you like! www.allabouttrafford.co.uk

See you next week!
