A MOTORCYCLIST was taken to hospital after a crash with a car.
The crash happened at about 8.40am in Manor Hill, Brighton.
Police and ambulance services attended the scene and the road was closed.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: “A 41-year-old local man riding a red BMW 1200 GS motorcycle was taken to hospital.
“He and a white Renault Clio crashed at the junction of Manor Hill and Maresfield Road, Brighton, at 8.44am on Wednesday.
“The car driver, a 27-year-old woman from Bexhill, was unhurt.”
A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance services said: “One ambulance crew attended the incident and the motorcyclist was treated at the scene before being taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital with chest and shoulder injuries.”
He said the injuries were not life threatening.
