Throughout my first year of writing Wayne’s World I have been reading all the comments and emails that you very kindly send me and I have learned that a lot of people have difficulty in finding events to attend in Trafford. Those of you who don’t use certain social media such as Facebook or Twitter often miss out on events as you aren’t in ‘the loop’ or clique so to speak.

It’s become apparent that those looking for events and those putting on events need to have a common meeting ground. So, over the past six months Val and I have been doing some research and working away behind the scenes to come up with a solution and this week I would like to introduce you to my new website, a free event listing service called ‘All About Trafford’.

‘All About Trafford’ will be a website for the people of Trafford to find local events throughout the borough and it will also house a list of Trafford based clubs and community groups. Event organisers will be able to send in the details of their events, free of charge, and have them listed, making it a one stop website to find out what is going on all across the area.

I will also be posting a live video ‘A Word From Wayne’ every Monday evening at 6pm to update the community on what is happening in Trafford. The video will stay on the website until the following Monday. You can email me at with any announcements, events, special occasions, congratulations etc. and I will read them all out in the weekly videos. Please reference your email ‘A Word From Wayne’.

I am doing this website for the community but it can only work with the communities’ assistance. So please do send me all your events for the Events page and information on clubs for the Clubs & Groups page. The Photo Gallery is your opportunity to send in your favourite snaps from all the wonderful scenery we have here in Trafford. To submit all of the above please send them to me in an email to

The website goes live on Monday the 22nd April at 6pm.

Tickets are selling well for the Rat Pack event organised by and being held at The Venue in Urmston on Westbourne Road at 7pm on Saturday the 27th of April 2019. I’m looking forward to singing a variety of songs from the Rat Pack era and there will of course be a bar! There will also be a raffle and auction with some fantastic prizes! Tickets for the event, sponsored by Home Estate Agents, are £10 each and the contact details are or phone Darren on 07970 222 204

See you next week!
