FIRE crews responded to an incident at a premises in Stretford.
Three fire engines were called to a business in Talbot Road, at the junction with the A56, this afternoon.
Smoke could be seen issuing from a building.
One of the westbound lanes in Talbot Road was blocked at the junction with the A56/Chester Road while crews worked at the scene.
Transport for Greater Manchester warned drivers to expect delays in the area at about 5pm.
They tweeted: "One lane blocked westbound on Talbot Road, at the junction with the A56 Chester Road in Old Trafford. Expect delays if your travelling in the area #MUNWHU #TfGMTraffic."
The incident has since been cleared.
