A DRIVER has been airlifted to hospital after a van flipped over during an accident near Risley Prison this afternoon, Friday.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: "At 3.49pm today emergency services were called to a one vehicle collision on Warrington Road, in Warrington.

"On arrival a van was on its side.
"The driver was taken by air ambulance to Warrington Hospital.
"The van is being recovered from the scene."
Warrington Road is still closed and delays remain in the surrounding areas.
Warrington Own Buses has also announced that its 28 and 28A service is being diverted via Glaziers Lane, Wigshaw Lane, Lady Lane and Cross Lane as a result.
