IF you're looking for a date this Valentine's Day, one supermarket may have the answer.
ASDA in Trafford is offering singletons free sweet, sticky dates, ensuring no one misses out on the most romantic day of the year.
Staff at the supermarket will hand out the treats, which are rich in amino acids and packed with nutrients, to get people in the mood for love.
A spokesman said: "At Asda, we go the extra mile for our customers, but finding them a date is a new one.
"Our date giveaway might help get them in the mood or give single Mancunians the bragging right of saying they ‘had a date on Valentine’s Day’ – either way, we hope it puts a smile on their face.”
Singletons can get their hands on free dates at Asda Trafford Park today between 11am and 5.30pm.
