A TONGUE-in-cheek betting advert featuring Rhodri Giggs talking about loyalty has gone viral — and did anyone spot co-star Wayne Devlin?

The Paddy Power advert was shown at half time during the Six Nations rugby match between Scotland and Italy on Saturday night.

See the video here:

Trafford singer and actor Wayne appeared alongside Rhodri — the brother of football legend Ryan — in a variety of settings, including a pub with friends, where he enjoys a pint with Wayne.

The Trafford crooner also joins Rhodri in the boxing gym, encouraging him for the Loyalty is Dead Live for Rewards advert.

The message behind the advert is loyalty gets you nowhere — go for rewards instead.

As well as the live TV audience, the video has been viewed almost 600,000 times on Paddy Power's YouTube channel.

Reaction to it includes Jan Grønkjær Pedersen, who said: "Probably the best commercial I have ever seen!!", and Christian Rignanese, who added: "Everytime I see it I just can’t stop laughing — absolutely amazing."

And Wayne has also taken time to sit back and enjoy the comedy value of the ad.

He said: "I thoroughly enjoyed filming the commercial, especially as it was here in Urmston at the Garrick's Head pub.

"Although we spent 12 hours there filming various takes, obviously it all gets edited and rearranged so you know which takes will be used in the final edit until you see it.

"It was an honour and a pleasure to work on a top commercial production with the highly respected director Peter Cattaneo, whose previous work includes directing the film The Full Monty.

"I've seen the commercial several times now and I think its absolutely brilliant.

"I've had lots of positive messages from family and friends who have spotted me. It was a real pleasure to work with Rhodri Giggs, who was an absolute gentleman and well done to him on the success of the commercial."
