There has been shock and widesprad condemnation after sections of a Jewish cemetary were vandalised.
Pictures show windows smashed, damage to an Ohel - a traditional Jewish grave and electrics ripped out at the Philips Park Jewish Cemetery in Whitefield, Manchester.
Shmuli Brown, Chabad Rabbi at the Liverpool Universities posted,"Today, the Jewish cemetery in Whitefield, Manchester was vandalised and graves were smashed. These cowards picking on the dead trashed the place. This is a horrible act of antisemitsm."

The Muslim Jewish Forum of Greater Manchester said it was shocked by the vandalism at Philips Park Jewish Cemetery.
A statement read, "People who commit such despicable acts show no respect for the dead and are consumed by hatred of their fellow citizens. Attacking a cemetery is sickening. We hope that the perpetrators are found as soon as possible and dealt with severely."
This is the very graveyard, where my sister is buried. 2 graves away from the one pictured in fact. Nice work at to welcome a new week, isn't it?!? 😡😡😡😠😠😠 https://t.co/PSeSRjr7DT

We need to mobilise. We need to support each other. I want to see the mandem, especially the Muslim ones ensuring that places of worship like Synagogues, Gurdwaras and Churches are kept safe from hate. It’s what we’ve been commanded. Look after the people. It’s the Prophetic way. https://t.co/PAbP1dBW0z
